In October 2007, I had the great good fortune to join 12 people for a trip to VietNam and Angkor Wat in Cambodia for 3 weeks. The trip was organized by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, and was administered by Odyssey Unlimited. For 4 of us on this trip, it was a trip BACK to Vietnam, after 39+ years. We had all been stationed there during our infamous conflict. I really didn't know what to expect. Sadness? Fears? Too many memories? Would I like the people and feel better equiped to understand them?
